About Steven

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Steven has come to appreciate small town life in Alexandria, but always will consider Chicago his first home. Steven has proudly served as TAP’s Gap Year Director for the last four years. Steven has a Master of Arts in International Education from The University of Alcalá (Spain), a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Baldwin Wallace University, and is slated to graduate from The Master’s Institute Seminary with his Master’s of Divinity in May of 2025. Steven’s ministry experience can be credited to Youth Encounter, Mount Carmel Ministries, and Quake Events.

When he has the time, he enjoys playing disc golf with his brothers and friends, playing bass in Creek Avenue, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bulls, and enjoying the rich communities of people God has blessed him with throughout his life.

About Blake

Blake grew up in small town Minnesota but now resides in Florida with his wife Emily and three dogs! Upon graduating high school, he served on a traveling music ministry team where his passion for worship leading and youth ministry began. Blake attended Concordia University Ann Arbor where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Education with a minor in Church Work and Worship Arts Leadership.

Blake is the co-founder of The Awaken Project, co-host of The Awaken Project Podcast and the one who oversees all things creative content for The Awaken Project!

Some of Blake’s favorite things to do in his spare time are spend time with his wife, pet his dogs, play the guitar, record podcasts, play/watch hockey, drink coffee (freshly ground coffee > pre-ground coffee, always) and watch YouTube.
