About Trevor

Trevor grew up in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and hopped around the state before settling in Alexandria. His wife Emma is the Associate Director of Ministries at Mount Carmel, and they love serving together. For a short time, Trevor attended Luther College before transferring to The Institute of Lutheran Theology, where he is pursuing his master’s degree. During his journey, Trevor joined the Minnesota National Guard and participated in The Awaken Project as a student during the 2022-2023 gap year. Shoutout Joe and Jacob!

Trevor is the 2nd Executive Director of The Awaken Project and took on the role beginning with the Summer of 2026.

Some of Trevor’s favorite things to do are ultimate frisbee, disc golf, rock climbing, board games, and movies with his wife.

About Blake

Blake grew up in small town Minnesota but now resides in Florida with his wife Emily, two daughters, and three dogs! Upon graduating high school, he served on a traveling music ministry team where his passion for worship leading and youth ministry began. Blake attended Concordia University Ann Arbor where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Education with a minor in Church Work and Worship Arts Leadership.

Blake is the co-founder of The Awaken Project, co-host of The Awaken Project Podcast and the one who oversees all things creative content for The Awaken Project!

Some of Blake’s favorite things to do in his spare time are spend time with his wife, pet his dogs, play the guitar, record podcasts, play/watch hockey, drink coffee (freshly ground coffee > pre-ground coffee, always) and watch YouTube.
