WHERE STUDENTS WILL BE

Mount Carmel Ministries

Mount Carmel is our main host site and where students call “home” for the year. Located in Alexandria, Minnesota, Mount Carmel has been a place of rest, renewal, and recreation for over 85 years. Mount Carmel’s own ministries include summer family camp, the Lakeside Bible Initiative, and retreat hosting throughout the fall, winter, and spring.

Quake Events

During the winter and early spring, we travel to regional youth events around the United States with Quake Events. Sponsored by Life Promotions, Quake Events invite students and their lead to gather together for a ready-made weekend of worship led by relationally geared worship leaders and speakers, interactive workshops, all sorts of games, new people, and what amounts to an experience that many youth groups say is their favorite weekend of the year!

Greenhouse Collective Sites

Each year, The Awaken Project has the opportunity to visit some of our fellow Greenhouse Collective members during the school year. We visit some combination of Trinity Lutheran Church (San Pedro, California), the Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute (Camrose, Alberta, Canada), World Mission Prayer League’s Discipleship House (Minneapolis, Minnesota), and Faith Lutheran Church (Hutchinson, Minnesota). Each partner is a kindred spirit to TAP because each partner focuses on young adult, residential discipleship in their own local context.
