Semester One…Done!

How is the first semester already over?

It feels like just last week The Awaken Project team was just introducing ourselves to each other. How swiftly it seems we moved from asking each other what our favorite color is, to pouring out our hearts to one another.

Between the amazing teachers, conversations, and adventures we had this semester, many important, transformational, and fun lessons were learned. Just to give you an idea of what some of these were, I have listed some of my favorites for you…

  1. There is freedom to fail.

  2. The Kingdom of God is both a present and future reality.

  3. Ask questions; and ask a lot of them.

  4. Sometimes a worship night can end with the Drake & Josh theme song.

  5. It’s important to identify whether prayer is your steering wheel or spare tire.

  6. Believers are to participate in this creation and, ultimately, the New Creation to come.

  7. Take good notes and look back on them later.

  8. Our assignment is to be, God’s is to do.

  9. Your attention should be on what’s on God’s heart, not what’s in His hand.

  10. Keep ‘er movin’.

  11. Main Street Overeasy of Bozeman, Montana serves an amazing breakfast.

  12. When cleaning cabins - always dust mop under the bed. Always.

  13. Work hard, play hard.

  14. The Thompson Chain-Reference Bible is a stellar tool for studying the Word.

  15. Be a self-starter.

Ultimately, in this first semester of TAP, there was lots of growth, challenges, adventure, and learning that took place. Jesus was truly at work in more ways than I could have asked for or imagined.
